EigenCloud is a protocol built on Ethereum that enables ETH stakers to participate in the validation of a broad array of modules by restaking their assets. This mechanism extends Ethereum's security to new software layers and services, creating a pooled security model. EigenCloud provides a marketplace where stakers can choose to secure different modules, potentially earning additional rewards while extending the cryptoeconomic security of the Ethereum network. It also serves as a testing ground for innovations before they are considered for integration into Ethereum. The project was founded by Sreeram Kannan, who serves as its CEO.
